Allen Harrison, english Head Coach: “The pinnacle of any footballers dream!”
The WFA England Team have been preparing for the 2011 FIPFA World Cup for the last two years. With the number of players within England increasing, the standard of domestic Powerchair Football has come a long way and provided great competition for selection.
The new looking coaching set up have looked at over 30 players, before a squad of 10 was selected for the next stage of preparation. This squad trained together over the past year, before the final 8 players were chosen to represent the WFA at the 2011 FIPFA World Cup.
The WFA England team have received backing from the England Football Team and support for the team and sport of Powerchair Football continues to grow in England.
The squad have bonded well and spirits within the camp are high. All the players are looking forward to the challenges ahead and competing against the rest of the World.
WFA National Team Head Coach, Allen Harrison said “The preparations are well underway and I am extremely happy with the current development of the team. We have a great squad, the morale is high and we will be confident going into our first match. The hard work and dedication all these players will see them compete against the best players in the world. To play in a World Cup finals in the pinnacle of any footballers dream”
